A gift year of the Globetrotter Club ($119) can also be added at checkout on any pin order. What the Club includes.

What they'll actually get

A map for the wall, and pins that each hold a small NFC chip. When someone taps a pin with their phone, the trip it's linked to opens right in the browser: the dates, the story, the photos, and (with the Club) the song from that trip.

How gifting works

  1. Tick "This order is a gift"At checkout, add who it's from and a short message. You can include a prepaid year of the Globetrotter Club.
  2. We ship itThe pins arrive unclaimed. Ship it to them or to yourself to wrap.
  3. They tap a pinTheir phone opens an Accept gift page with your message. One tap makes all the pins theirs.
  4. They make it theirsThey mark the countries they've visited on their online map and point each pin at a trip. Their Club year starts when they accept, or on the date you picked.

After you order, you can personalize the gift: choose a theme, add a song that plays when it opens, and print a card with a QR code. It's optional, and you can come back to it any time from your gifts.

There's nothing for you to set up and nothing that renews on your card. If you'd rather hold the gift for one person, send it to their email from your order confirmation page after you order.

Questions about gifting

Do they need an app to use the pins?

No. Each Touch-to-Travel pin holds an NFC chip. Tapping it with a modern phone opens a web page in the browser, so there is nothing to download and nothing to charge.

How do they claim the gift?

When they tap one of the pins for the first time, they see an Accept gift page with your name and message. Accepting (with a free account) makes every pin in the order theirs. Until then the pins stay unclaimed, so you never have to set anything up.

Can I send it to a specific person?

Yes. After you order, you can send the gift to their email address from your order confirmation page or your account. It is then held for that email, and they get a link to accept it.

Will a gifted Globetrotter Club year renew on my card?

No. A Club year you add to a gift order is paid with the order and never renews on your card. It starts when they accept the gift, or on a date you choose, such as December 25.

Is there a gift that doesn't need to ship?

Yes. The Globetrotter Club Gift Year is digital. Right after checkout you pick a theme, write a note and add a song, then print a card with a QR code or schedule an email for the day. Their year starts when they open it and accept.

Do the pins work with a map they already have?

Yes. The pins push into any cork board, tapestry or poster map. Our maps are an option, not a requirement.

What if it isn't quite right?

Every order has our 60-Day Adventure Guarantee: email us within 60 days for free returns and a full refund. Pins that were already set up are fine to return.

How much is shipping?

The shipping cost for your address is shown at checkout before you pay.

Can I pay over time?

Yes. US orders can pay with Klarna in 4 interest-free payments. Choose it at checkout.
